Policies

Safe, Consistent Care

Clear expectations for premium pet sitting at Snout Services. These policies protect your pets, your home, our sitters, and the quality of care Snout is known for. All clients agree to these policies when booking services.

Communication and booking confirmation

Contact Snout Services — not your sitter
All booking, schedule changes, questions, and availability checks must go through Snout Services only. Clients may not contact sitters directly about scheduling or availability. Sitters cannot accept direct messages, calls, side-gigs, or private arrangements. This ensures accuracy, safety, and liability protection.

Cancellations follow clear timing rules

Simple, fair timing
• More than 48 hours before service: Full refund
• Within 48 hours: 50 percent refund
• Day of service: No refund
Holiday bookings and deposits are non-refundable under all circumstances.

Give us the key to your home safely

Safe, reliable access is required
Provide a working lockbox, key, or access code before your first visit.
Sitters will lock all doors and gates when leaving.
If a sitter encounters an unexpected person in the home, they may refuse entry for safety.

Your pet's health comes first, always

Your pet’s health comes first
Pets must be current on vaccinations, flea/tick prevention, and free from contagious illness.
All medical conditions and medications must be disclosed.
In an emergency, Snout Services may transport your pet to the nearest open veterinarian. All vet costs are the client’s responsibility.

Emergency action plans

We act in your pet’s best interest
If your sitter cannot safely enter the home or encounters danger, Snout Services may adjust the visit or reschedule. In pet emergencies, Snout may transport your pet to a veterinarian and notify you as quickly as possible. If your assigned sitter has an emergency, Snout Services will assign another qualified sitter when possible. If no sitter is available, we will contact you immediately to discuss options or adjust the schedule.

Severe weather changes how we care for your pet

Safety comes first in extreme conditions
High heat, storms, freezing temperatures, or unsafe weather may shorten outdoor time or shift visits to indoor activities.
If sitters find flooding, damage, or signs of forced entry, they will secure the area and notify you immediately.

Payment is due on a clear schedule

Clear, upfront payment keeps schedules running smoothly
• All clients must pay in full to confirm their booking. Unpaid bookings are not held.
• Bookings made 30 days or more in advance may use a 25 percent non-refundable deposit, with the remaining balance due 7 days before service. If the balance isn’t paid, the booking is canceled and the deposit is forfeited.
• Weekly clients must pay every Sunday for the upcoming week. If payment isn’t received, we cannot hold weekly spots.
• Holiday bookings must be paid in full at scheduling and are non-refundable.
• All payments must be made through the official Snout Services payment link.

Photos and updates after each visit

Every visit includes updates
Each visit includes at least one photo when possible as well as arrival and departure messages. For house sitting, you will receive multiple updates and photos each day. Any concerns or questions will be communicated immedistely.

You keep your home and pets secure

Safe, reliable access is required
Snout Services is not responsible for damage caused by pets, unsecured property, exposed hazards, or fencing failures. You are responsible for securing your home, yard, gates, doors, and all entries. Aggressive pets or pets with a bite history must be disclosed. List all security cameras, alarm systems, and anyone with home access.

Overnight care means we stay at your home

Overnight care means we stay in your home
Sitters may leave briefly for meals or basic errands but never for extended periods unless pre-approved. Your home must be clean, safe, and include a comfortable sleeping area for your sitter. All expected visitors must be disclosed before service begins. During overnights, no other person may be in the home under any circumstances unless Snout approves it in writing. Undisclosed individuals result in immediate termination of service without refund.

Harmony and clear instructions

Clear instructions help us keep everyone safe
Tell us if any pets cannot be together during feeding, play, or free time. Feeding instructions must be written and specific for each pet. Dogs are never left outdoors unattended.

We enter only the spaces your pets need

We enter only the spaces your pets need
Sitters access only the areas required for pet care. Cabinets are opened only when needed for food, cleaning supplies, or medications. All indoor cameras must be disclosed before service. Cameras may not be placed in bathrooms, changing areas, or sitter sleeping areas during overnights.
